Dolmens, menhirs, and cromlechs are mysterious rock structures spread throughout the world which have kept the secrets of their origin and purpose for many millennia.
Similar structures can be seen in Russia, Ukraine, Abkhazia, England, France, Italy, Ireland, Spain, India, Iraq, Syria, Korea, Japan, North America, and North Africa.
Official science determines that the megalithic structures are 3 000 – 5 000 years old (Copper or Bronze Age), but many researchers believe that some stone structures are more than 10 000 years old and belong to the Neolithic Age.
Who built “villages” of dolmens, “paths” from menhirs, and “astronomical observatories” from cromlechs? Was it Atlanteans? Priests? Giants?
Geologists have observed a strange pattern: when comparing schematics of how the megalithic structures have spread out with geological maps, most of the structures turned out to be located on the geological fault line.
Dolmens are large, stone structures, placed horizontally on top of a stone base, or a closed stone box with a circular (most often), triangular, or square entrance. There were “doors” in some dolmens that closed off the entrance and the weight of some doors was 200 kilograms (441 pounds).
One version of the purpose of dolmens is that it was a method to glue together the sandy-clay luting mass that protruded to the surface from cracks in the ground.
Menhirs are enormous stone pillars, with a height from 3 to 20 meters, placed vertically in the ground (the largest one weighed 300 tons). Menhirs are found mostly in groups – entire paths of Menhirs (from several dozens to thousands of stones). And on some Menhirs there are ornaments or bar-reliefs.
Cromlechs are several elongated stones places in the ground (menhirs), forming one or several concentric circles. And sometimes, in the center of such a structure, there is another stone – menhir or dolmen.
These magnificent monuments are proof that ancient builders possessed knowledge of architecture, astronomy, mathematics, and geology. There are traces of mechanical treatment on some of the megalithic structures – indentations, grooves, and circular openings.
How and why were these dolmens, menhirs, and cromlechs built? What kinds of instruments were used to work with the stones all those centuries ago? Who raised these grand structures? How were builders able to transport the heavy stones for kilometers in order to use them?
Answers to these questions remain a mystery to this day. There are many versions – from myths to scientific hypotheses. And here are some of the most interesting ones:
*Cromlechs were megalithic observatories of ancient civilizations. It is possible that ancient cultures determined solar and lunar eclipses and the days of the summer and winter solstice by these structures. Researchers have determined that Stonehenge and other megalithic structures generate high frequency oscillations and electromagnetic waves. Their activity increases at sunrise and sunset, as well as during the spring and autumn equinoxes.
*Cromlechs were religious structures of the Druids (Celtic priests) used for worshipping Nature’s spirit.
*Dolmens were altars for offerings and gifts to the Gods and spirits of the ancestors.
*Dolmens were places for burying tribal elders.
*Dolmens were shrines – places for worship of the Sun.
*Dolmens were places where the ghosts of great ancestors were staying.
*Dolmens were places for “banishment” of priest oracles.
*Dolmens were acoustic devices, used for transmitting information. Measurements have shown that the resonating frequency of the monolithic structure is 2.8 hertz.
*Dolmens were meditation resonating chambers in places of unusual energy. It is possible that the dolmens served as chambers that helped reach Samadhi.
*Menhirs were temples for offerings.
*Menhirs were astronomical clocks from the Stone Age. The Carnac stones (in Brittany) are located in a way that they show the position of the Sun during certain times of the year.
*Menhirs as religious cults – containing illustrations of people with animal masks and birds.
*Menhirs of Native Americans with two heads (human and animal) are symbols of an ancient Toltec skill of Nagual and Tonal.
The megalithic structures are like stone books of ancient civilizations, in which information of the Earth, the Solar system and the Universe is encrypted. It is possible that in ancient times, people were able to benefit from the knowledge of special megalithic structures – knowledge that in modern days is known as enyology– a forgotten knowledge of ancient times, a knowledge for the process of energy-information transfer in the Universe.
